Top ten reasons why jesus (pbuh) is not god given below, could any christian explain?

Reason #10 - God Can not be Born! (he is uncreated and he could not create another uncreated)

Reason #09 - There is unequivocal textual evidence

Reason #08 - No one has seen God!

Reason #07 - This was the not belief of early Christians

Reason #06 - Jesus Ate, Slept, and Prayed [start time 14:38]

Reason #05 - Jesus claimed that God's Knowledge is greater than his [start time 16:44]

Reason #04 - Jesus Explicitly states that he is not God

Reason #03 - Son of God?

Reason #02 - God does not change

Reason #01 - God is the object of Worship

If God died for 3 days then who was controlling universe for 3 days?

If you say part of Trinity died that means Jesus(pbuh) wasn't complete God and God cannot be incomplete.

Why God needs sacrifice? Can't he just forgive our sins?

Is there a greater authority than God whom he has to answer?

If you say it is for the justice then what sort of justice is this that you kill someone for someone else fault.

Reason #10 - God Can not be Born! (he is uncreated and he could not create another uncreated)

Jesus is God in human form. He is not physically God. He is physically human.

Reason #09 - There is unequivocal textual evidence

There is this thing called the Bible in which Jesus claimed to be God and proved it through miracles....

Reason #08 - No one has seen God!

How does this prove your point?

Reason #07 - This was the not belief of early Christians

Really? Well a Christian is a follower of Christ. Christ claimed to be God. So a Christian should believe that Christ is God. If a person doesn't believe this, then they are not Christian.

Reason #06 - Jesus Ate, Slept, and Prayed [start time 14:38]

Again, God in HUMAN form. God put himself in human form. The ultimate form of compassion. He knows what we go through. He felt pain, hunger, thirst...

Reason #05 - Jesus claimed that God's Knowledge is greater than his [start time 16:44]

The trinity. God (the father)'s knowledge is greater than Jesus' human knowledge.

Reason #04 - Jesus Explicitly states that he is not God

    Where was this?

Reason #03 - Son of God?

The trinity. Three persons in one.

Reason #02 - God does not change

    Jesus has always existed.

    John 1

    The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Reason #01 - God is the object of Worship

I agree. How is this another reason?

And the reason God needs sacrifice is because he will not go back on his promises. In the Old Testament, God required sacrifices for sins. These sacrifices were lambs, and were only temporary. The ultimate penalty for sin was death, but a sacrificial lamb was enough to temporarily remove the stain of sin. Jesus is the lamb of God. The perfect sacrifice. Being sinless, he had no sins to be punished for. So his death washed away the stain of sin from all of man.

Jesus stated that to see Him was to have seen the Father. So God has been seen. Jesus was God manifested in human flesh, "God with us." "Son of God" is a positional, not biological, relationship. Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. The man part was what died on the cross to pay for all of our sins, the God part is what was resurrected afterwards. True, God does not change ever. Therefore the wages of sin requires physical death in order to be paid off in full for forgiveness to happen. But if we die to pay off our debt we are not then able to receive the forgiveness of the sin for we are no longer alive. Jesus established His credentials as to being God in the flesh with all of His miracles. The fact that Jesus ate, slept, and prayed, are indicative of the sort of ministry that He had come to accomplish among mankind. He demonstrated to everyone what man was expected to do, how to do it, and why he ought to do it. There is the Godhead which contains the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Textual evidence proves over and over that all three of these aspects of the Godhead can, and do, act separately and simulaneously, as the others. Jesus being baptized in the Jordan, the Father speaks from heaven, and the Holy Spirit descends upon Jesus, all demonstrates this reality.

Jesus explicitly stated that He and the Father were one. Case closed.

10 - God is not limited in the way that you suggest.

    9 - Incorrect; John 20:26-29

8 - The Bible records people doing so in both Old and New Testaments

    7 - Inaccurate claim; again: John 20:26-29

6 - God is not so limited that he is unable to do such things

5 - At the time Jesus said that, it was true

4 - Inaccurate claim. Never recorded in the Bible.

    3 - Irrelevant

2 - From the human perspective, certain aspects of God change frequently (for example: what he commands his prophets to teach, or what he commands them to do). There are only certain aspects of God that are unchanging.

    1 - Indeed.

    A) If God died for 3 days then who was controlling universe for 3 days?

Jesus' mortal, human body died. His godly nature did not.

    B) If you say part of Trinity died that means Jesus(pbuh) wasn't complete God and God cannot be incomplete.

Clearly you do not understand the doctrine of trinity.

    C) Why God needs sacrifice? Can't he just forgive our sins?

God chose to use a sacrifice.

    D) Is there a greater authority than God whom he has to answer?

There is no higher authority than God.

The most common reason for not understanding how Jesus is God is a failure to grasp the eternal relationship between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. There is only One Being of God.

Within the One Being who is God subsist the three separate persons of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. At Jesus' baptism, all three persons of God were present - Jesus as the Son of God in human form, the voice of the Father heard from heaven and the Holy Spirit who descended in the form of a dove. When Jesus, the Son, died, the Father and the Holy Spirit did not also die, because all three are separate persons.

Before Jesus came to earth in human form, he already existed in heaven alongside the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was known as the Word, and as the Son of God. Read John 1:34

The Word, the Son of God, humbled himself and gave up the glory he shared in heaven alongside the Father and the Holy Spirit, to come to earth and atone for the sin of the world. Read Philippians 2:8

Jesus, who is also the Word, was there, in the beginning, at creation. It says so in John 1:1

Jesus, the Word, became flesh and dwelt with man. It says so in John 1:14

No-one has ever seen God but Jesus, who has made God known to us because he is God the One and Only. It says so in John 1:18

When Jesus walked the earth as a man, he was obedient to his Heavenly Father because he had been sent to do the will of the Father. After he died and was resurrected, he returned to be with the Father and with the Holy Spirit and is worthy of all worship.

When we worship God, we are worshipping the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. One Being of God, but three separate persons. Check out the illustration at the end of the link (below) which explains the eternal relationship between all three. You simply cannot have one without the other two!

But because the Jesus of the Qur'an bears no resemblance to the Jesus of the Bible, and because Islam mistakenly teaches that Jesus was a Muslim and is going to come back as a prophet of Muhammad, then no Muslim is ever going to believe the Jesus of the Bible, the Son of God who came to earth to save us from our sin. If you don't know the significance of our sin and how God views sin, then your God is not my God.

P.S. Ah, I see we are all wasting our time. You don't want to know, do you? Wonder which atheist answer you will pick?

  • Since you have "start times" listed I am guessing you copied and pasted this from somewhere. Thus I feel disinclined to spend much time answering you. However I will address a few. Thomas one of the 12 apostles specifically referred to Jesus as God. In John 1:1 Jesus is once again specifically called God. Jesus was worshiped multiple times in the New Testament.

This is at least the second time today you have asked this exact same question.

You got 12 answers to it first time around. And chose an atheist's answer as Best Answer.

Are you not reading the answers?

My answer is, go read the Bible gospel account of the apostle John. All 10 of your points are dispelled by him. And he walked and talked with Jesus for over three years. He saw Jesus crucified and die, and obeyed Jesus' dying instruction to take Mary into his home as if she was his own mother. Only after you have prayerfully read the scriptures will you begin to get the answers.

Number 1. Jesus is made up. He was never born. He's not a God. It's a story. It's all make believe. There was never a man named Jesus. No there's no evidence to suggest he ever lived. Any texts mentioning him were re-written by Christians hundreds of years after he supposedly lived.

Wow...okay...Jesus is 100% Man and 100% God. The man died but not the God, the man was born but the God wasn’t.

Early Christians had a huge thing against gnostics because they didn’t believe Jesus was God. Early Christians and real christians believe that Jesus is God.

The rest is just dumb arguments

Jesus is not GOD, Jesus is the son of GOD, there are 2 separate beings, in some other eternal existence, for some other mankind, GOD may have went through what Jesus went through , in any case GOD needs a body. Sure it is perfect and holy, way more powerful than mortal man's, but it is a flesh and bones body that we, including Jesus is created after. Now the slap that explains your confusion is The Jesus is GOD fact. both are true because GOD appointed deity power or godhood if you will, over to Jesus when Jesus reached His fullness at the time of His Baptism and Receiving the Holy Ghost[around 3 B.C.]. Jesus was already GOD in training forever, and GOD did not lose any of His GOD powers when He appointed them to Christ, in fact they grew stronger,
